As we near the end of the campaign we wanted to thank everyone for their support so far, our team is all on hands on deck and we know there will be tons of questions coming through. We'll be trying to respond to all of you before it ends!

There’s less than a week left in the campaign and we’re so close to our final stretch goal! Thank you so much for the support over the past few weeks, we couldn’t have made it this far without your help. With the last few days of the campaign upon us, here’s a look at what’s next and a closer look at the tarot guidebooks and our guiding philosophy.
What did you unlock? Roll20 Integration!
The decks are officially coming to Roll20! This means over 600+ assets in animated in static versions will be available for purchase to everyone through Roll20.

For our backers who made this possible through the campaign, we’ve changed up who will receive a Roll20 key!
Those who have pledged over $300(not including shipping) will receive a key at no extra cost! This will allow for backers who aren't in one of the bundles to still get the same perk that they are :)

Our Guiding Philosophy of the Animated Tarot
It is always our goal to create innovative, beautiful, inclusive products for tabletop gamers. The Animated Tarot combines these characteristics with the meaningful and mesmerizing practice of tarot.
Story drives us, which is what makes tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs) so compelling. Merging the narrative features of our favorite games, unique animated art(inspired by classic Rider-Waite imagery), and the magical practice of tarot, we’re creating a fresh, fun deck unlike any you’ve seen before. With special chapters for GMs, players, and everyone in between, the deluxe edition will contain surprising ways to use tarot in your everyday life as well as in your game, from both a mechanical and a meta-perspective. The content will be accessible for new tarot users and experts alike and aims to appeal to gamers both artistically and practically.

Sample Card Description – Standard Edition
The standard edition of the Animated Tarot will include unique card descriptions for all 78 cards including keywords for upright draws and reversals. Major Arcana cards and the court cards from the Minor Arcana will also feature the card’s primary abilities and skill proficiencies.

XII The Hanged Man
Primary Abilities: Constitution, Wisdom
Skill Proficiencies: Acrobatics, Insight
Upright Key Words: surrender, new perspective, acceptance, vulnerability, sacrifice
A strong wind may impose disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing, but the Hanged Man’s Insight is unaffected. No matter the chaos around him, he neither struggles nor loses his balance. The Hanged Man is fully present in the now, releasing baggage from the past and expectations of the future. This perspective also grants him the wisdom to know the difference between self-sacrifice (a requirement for good-aligned creatures) and needless martyrdom (I’m looking at you, paladins). The Hanged Man is not just steady in the midst of anything that comes his way—he also purposefully seeks a new perspective and is willing to learn and change as a result.

The deluxe edition will include innovative tarot spreads to use both in game and out. This includes spreads for everyday challenges (like the sample spread shown here) as well as spreads specifically meant for GMs and players.
Magic Missile
If only targeting our everyday problems were as effortless as hitting our enemies with magic missile! Sometimes you know you need to move forward, but it’s hard to tell exactly how. This spread will help you identify the core problem and unveil three ways to solve it.
While the cards you draw might not glow or deal force damage, you can cast this at a higher level—just draw as many cards for as many darts as you’d like to create. Problem solved!

Sample scenario
The company you work for has recently been bought out by a bigger one. You’re feeling a lot of tension and uncertainty, but you can’t put your finger on what the root issue is and what to do about it.
Card 1: 6 of Cups
Card 2: 10 of Swords
Card 3: 9 of Pentacles
Card 4: 8 of Pentacles
Change is challenging, no matter what. It’s natural to have a tendency to focus on the past, but getting stuck there is a surefire path to unhappiness. The 6 of Cups here suggests that clinging to the past is creating uneasiness or irritation.
As a solution, the 10 of Swords suggests moving through the pain this change has caused rather than bleeding under its effects indefinitely. Feel your feelings (the Cups are the suit of emotions, after all), and then reroute your thoughts to move into the next phase. The 9 of Pentacles implies there’s a way to balance these two stances—feeling the loss of what was and being grateful for what is—without being melodramatic or taking an overly assured stance that “the good old days” are gone. Clearly there is much to be grateful for and, as the 8 of Pentacles indicates, much work to be done.
Summary: Find ease and inspiration by combining the best of what was with an attitude and actions toward what can be.

We've been hearing a lot from tarot backers that they want to see what the minor arcana will look like and we want to show you! The animator shared with us a rough of the Page of Coins, we'll post updates when it's complete! The final will have more animated elements and will be done in a similar style to the Major Arcana!

Exclusive Update #3 Tarot Pin Exclusive!
So we've heard from some of the tarot backers that they don't have interest in exclusive spell cards. We appreciate their support and helping us come up with some options that cater more to them. With that, we're excited to announce that we have made an exclusive pin based on the Magician tarot card for the tarot backers. The pin will feature jewelry clutches on the back to help ensure that you don't lose it!

How does this work? After the campaign ends when we send the surveys you will be given the option to select either A) The Animated Exclusive Pack, or B) The Magician Pin Exclusive.
