Hey backers!
We have lots of news this month, so without further adieu, let’s get into it!
Charging Cards
At long last, we’ll be charging credit cards on BackerKit! The cards will be charged on Thursday, April 1st.
We’ll also be locking surveys at this time so please ensure your survey reflects the tier, add-ons, and pallet option (if applicable) before this date. Once surveys are locked, you will be unable to opt-in or out of shipping on the pallet.

Deck Production Updates
The shipment containing deck levels 6-9 have arrived in the country! It won’t be too much longer before it arrives at our warehouse and we can begin processing the decks and preparing them to ship.
The Townsfolk and Illusions decks took a little longer than expected to wrap up, but you can expect them to be released sometime this month along with the Conditions deck! These decks will be going into physical production around the end of March. We’ll keep you updated on shipping details!
With the tarot animations set to be complete within the next month, it won't be long until the entire animated deck series will be released digitally! Keep an eye on your inboxes and BackerKit for those download links!
Levels 0-5 + Things Reprint and Shipping Update
Some less fun news! We’ve unexpectedly run low on one of the lower volume decks and unfortunately are unable to proceed with shipping out rewards that include them for the time being. The good news is that we’ve already got more in production!
Once the 6-9 decks arrive, we’ll ship out the rewards we’re able to until the entire series is reunited! Our current estimate is roughly two months for the second shipment to arrive, but we'll keep you updated in our monthly posts.
Tarot Update
It’s been quite the journey, but all tarot animations are set to be complete by April 15th! 🎉
Upon completion of the animations, the files will be prepped for production. At this time we estimate the deck will go into production around the end of May.

Our design team has been working away at getting the remaining decks ready for release and production! We anticipate more decks to be in production by the end of the month. Expect to see a few more deck pdfs released through BackerKit in the coming weeks!

Thank you all so much for your patience while we reassessed the timeline for completing the minor arcana animations! At this time, we anticipate the deckanimations will be complete by the end of March. The animator we brought on to help out is doing a great job of bringing the original style to life!

Book DesignUpdate
The writing is complete and the text is currently going through the copyediting phase. The design on the booklet and book are in progress, but here’s what we have so far!
The Book will feature 2 page spreads for each card, while the booklet will condense the major arcana down to single cards and the minor arcana a bit futher.

Logo + Card Back Update
Take a look at our brand new logo design as well as an update to the card backs!
We felt that the original design for the logo didn't do the deck justice and decided to update it with the feeling of the deck in mind and making it a more cohesive product overall.

The Card back will still incorporate the geometric elements from the first iteration, but will have a perfectly reflected image featuring the suits.

Deity of Tarot
As a thank you to our backers for their patience regarding the delays the deck is experiencing, we’ve decided to put together a little treat for you! We’ll be releasing a Deity of Tarot, who can be used in your 5e games!
If you’re a patron of ours or have purchased any of our Big Bad booklets from our store, you’ll recognize the format we’ll be using to put this ethereal being together! If not, you can download our first Big Bad for free to see what the booklet will look like (though definitely less...goopy).
Our design team is preparing the remaining completed decks for digital release and for them to go into production. Other than the Minor Arcana, all animations have been completed! Expect to see more decks released through BackerKit in the next few weeks.

Tarot Update
Due to unforeseen circumstances with the original animator in the past month, we've brought on another animator to assist with completing this series. Rest assured, our original animator is still involved! She's providing us with the rough animations for the new animator to work off of, ensuring consistency in the style of the cards and the deck as a whole.
Because of these hiccups, we're currently a little unsure where that leaves us regarding the timeline we provided in last month's update, but we're determining what changes (if any!) we'll see regarding the production and shipping timeframe with our team.
We know it can be disappointing when potential delays crop up and we're incredibly grateful for the patience and understanding you've extended us while we get this deck complete and in your hands (or inboxes!). We'll post another update with more details once we have them to keep you all in the loop!
As for the tarot book, we're excited to show some designs soon and with some more details on how the booklet will compare to the hardcover book!
Fulfillment is about to begin!
As we mentioned last year, we’re just about ready to start sending out the first rewards! Because not everything has made it through production just yet, we’re limited in what we can get shipped out in the beginning.
At the moment, rewards that only include released decks (Animated Deck of Many Things, Cantrips and Level 1-6 decks) and Kickstarter Exclusive: Card Packs are set to ship out in this first wave.
We’ll update you as more decks and rewards arrive! Until then, expect only these rewards to ship.
Get ready, we’re charging cards!
If you have an outstanding balance on BackerKit from add-ons, we’re about to begin charging the credit cards on file. We expect to complete this process by the end of January 2021.

Hey backers!
Here’s our final update for the year! Please take a moment to read about the decks’ progress, a more accurate shipping timeline now that we’re beginning production, and our holiday hours!
Our design team is preparing the remaining completed decks for digital release. Keep an eye out in the new year!
Exclusives have arrived!
Now that exclusives are in, we can begin shipping out rewards! To begin with, only rewards that include decks from the first series will be shipping out, but that will officially mark the beginning of Kickstarter fulfillment! Yay!
We anticipate beginning fulfillment mid-January. As we get pieces in, we’ll ship out the rewards that we can! We’re so excited to get started.

Production Progress
Decks
Levels 6, 7, 8, and 9 have gone into production! Our current estimate for their arrival is sometime in February. We can’t wait to see them!
Illusions, Conditions, Townsfolk, Spellcraft, and Humblewood animations are almost done and should be going into the production phase soon.
Tarot Update
As many of you have already probably noticed through our progress updates, the tarot deck is taking the longest to animate. The artist is still working hard to get the minor arcana completed and our current estimate is the end of February!
The writing set to accompany the tarot decks is nearly done! The booklet is going through its final editing passes as we speak and we're eager to share the text in the new year.

Our current estimated window for the physical books is March/April 2021.
New Animations Preview Tarot Royalty
Here’s a first look at some of the latest animations from the Tarot Minor Arcana!
POLYHEDRAL is an interview book, wherein the interviewer has spoken to different people who work in the Tabletop Roleplaying Game (TTRPG) industry. Whether they have made their own independent system or made supplements to existing ones, work primarily as a freelancer or own their own company, all people interviewed have been given time to talk about themselves, their story and their work.
Please anticipate a slower response time from December 24th until the new year. Though an agent will be available Monday-Friday over the holidays (with the exception of Canadian statutory holidays), the hours will be reduced. We’ll get back to you as quickly as we can!
