Hey backers! Here’s what we have for you this month.
Rewards Progress
Tarot Decks - Shipment #1 has reached the port in British Columbia and we learned this week that it’s officially been discharged from the boat! 🎉🎉🎉They’ve let us know that the shipment will travel by rail rather than truck to Montreal, where it will be forwarded by truck to our warehouse in Ottawa.
Shipment #2 has finally made it across the ocean! The boat is now in Seattle, which is the last stop before it will make its way to British Columbia as well. This shipment will then follow the steps outlined above.
We’re in close contact with our shipping partners and are receiving updates from them each week. Unfortunately, they have let us know that the expected date of arrival for both shipments in Montreal has been pushed back.
Based on their estimates, we expect to see the decks arrive in Montreal on October 3rd (Shipment #1) and October 14th (Shipment #2). We’re getting a clearer estimate on what to expect for the final leg (Montreal-Ottawa) to give you a better timeline, but based on past experience we anticipate receiving the remainder of the pallets closer to the end of October. We’re hoping to see the shipments fly through customs and across the country, defying all our expectations, but realistically the tarot decks will not reach us until the end of next month.
Deck Storage Boxes - These are included with the tarot decks in Shipment #2! We expect to be able to receive them towards the end of October as well.
Spellshaping - The books have completed printing and a printed sample has been shipped to us for review! If approved the books will be bound and prepped to ship to us.

Rewards Progress
Tarot Decks - We’ve received an unfortunate update from our freight contacts regarding the tarot shipments. At this time, the shipments arestill en routevia boat and are now expected to arrive in BritishColumbia in early to mid-September. From there, they’ll be processed by customs and shipped to us by truck. Pending no further delays at the ports, with customs or with the final mile to us, fulfillment should be able to resume mid-late September.
We know this isn't ideal and understand the frustration with the additional delays. On our end, we're preparing to get fulfillment moving as soon as possible when the decks do arrive and we've started to build packages with the currently available rewards to expedite the process.
We'll post updates in addition to the expected monthly posts when we get word that the decks have reached Canada as well as when they've arrived to our warehouse.
Deck Storage Boxes - They are included in the second tarot shipment! We expect to see them arrive in BC in mid-September.
Spell Slot Reprints - The reprints have arrived! So excited to see them in person and begin shipping them out!
Spellshaping - PDFs were made available last month through BackerKit! We received some revision requests from the printer which are in progress, but we expect them to begin printing soon.

Thank you all for the feedback on our last update and we apologize for the confusion and chaos it appeared to unleash! We have a few behind the scenes details to share with you, but first, here is the information from the update you were expecting from your regularly scheduled monthly update!
Rewards Progress
Tarot Decks - Very exciting news on this front! Since the last monthly update on June 9th, the decks have begun their journey to us! We currently have two shipments; the first set sail towards the end of June and the second will follow later this week.
Based on the estimate provided to us by the shippers, we expect to see the first shipment reach BC in the coming week or so, where it will then be processed by customs and sent our way by truck.
Tarot Reading Mats - They have arrived at the HPP warehouse! 🎉
Deck Storage Boxes - They have completed mass production! They have a spot on a freight ship already and should be picked up later this week and set sail towards the end of next.
Spell Slot reprints - They are on their way to us! Based on the estimates provided to us, we expect to see them arrive at our warehouse later this week.
Spellshaping - PDFs are available through BackerKit! Our design team is coordinating with the manufacturers to ensure the exported files are good to proceed with.
Roll20 Codes - Both codes that are a part of a pledge as well as The Fablemaker’s Tarot gift codes have been sent out to backers by email. If you have any concerns regarding receiving your code, please be sure to reach out to our support team!
So uh, that update?
We’re going to be fully transparent here in light of the update we pushed last week. The team member who is usually responsible for putting together your updates and gathering reward information for you was on vacation and the team member who put together the update was very very excited about sharing news of The Humblewood Tales.
Because of this, we didn’t consider our language and audience as deeply as we should have before posting, which led to the resulting frustration and disappointment from backers and some news that was meant to be exciting came off as dismissive, vague, and even disrespectful. This was not our intention and we’d like to extend an apology to all of our backers–we’re sorry.
We got ahead of ourselves and should have been more clear about your rewards as well as how the new project will not have an impact on this one, nor will there be any delays as a result.
We’ve included a few more details below to help give a bit more insight!
Why are you promoting a new campaign before finishing ours?
In the past, we’ve approached Kickstarters by launching while we’re still developing the content and rewards. The Humblewood Tales book is content that is already complete and being compiled for the first time. All writing, editing, art, 3D modelling and preliminary design were wrapped up before launching the project, and a great deal of it even predates this campaign!
Because of this, once the final book design and packaging are completed, these rewards will be beginning their production journey where the rewards from this campaign are at the end of it. If the Humblewood Tales rewards do somehow manage to catch up, there will still be no overlap in fulfillment because we’re partnering with a distribution centre to take care of that project.

As we await production to end on our current project, we wanted to share a couple things!
Spellshaping Artbook Export
The artbook has concluded design and is being sent off to production! Be sure to check your Backerkit for the full download! In the meantime check out some spreads below :D We're already in talks with production and will be providing a timeline when we get confirmation!
Humblewood Tales is a companion book to the Humblewood Campaign Setting for 5th Edition, which combines all the Humblewood Tales adventures into one beautiful book.
With over 200 pages of content that’s fully compatible with all your 5e games, including premade characters, a full bestiary, myriads of new magic items and more, there’s plenty of thrills to be had for both new and seasoned Humblewood adventurers.
As a part of the Humblewood Tales Kickstarter, we’ll be releasing “The Rhythm of Humblewood” music soundtrack on vinyl, brand new miniatures, new dice & GM screen, stretch goals for bonus adventures, and much more.

We hope you're enjoying the beautiful weather as summer peeks its head around the corner! 🌞 Here’s your update for the month.
Securing shipping from overseas continues to prove challenging, but most outstanding rewards have completed production or are nearly there (with the exception of Spellshaping). Be sure to read on for our announcement about a surprise gift for backers! 🎁
Don’t forget that we’ve returned to our monthly update schedule for this project! You can expect monthly updates to be posted near the beginning of each month.
Rewards Progress
Roll20 Codes - Codes that are part of a pledge have officially been distributed! If a code is included in your rewards, be sure to check your email to get access!
Spellshaping - There are still revisions to be made before we can move forwards and finalize the book for digital release and production.
Spell Slot reprints - Production is complete! We’re working on arranging shipping to get them to us.
Deck Storage Boxes - There has been a couple of changes behind the scenes and they are in the proofing stage of production with a new vendor. This means we're confirming all the colours, dimensions, etc. are correct in our files with the manufacturers before they start mass production.
Tarot Shipment - Sadly we have no updates on securing a freight spot yet. 😥 When we hear from our shipping contacts we will be able to pass the details on! Cross your fingers and send us good vibes on grabbing a spot ASAP 🤞
Tarot Reading Mats - Like the deck storage boxes, the reading mats are in production with a new vendor. Because of their size, we’ll airship them over once they’re complete! Take a look at them below!:

A few months ago we mentioned in an update there would be an additional surprise gift for backers and we’re able to finally share with you what that is!
AllBackers will receive a code for The Fablemaker’s Tarot deck on Roll20! We’re arranging to distribute codes to all backers to access the deck on the platform for your games and readings. ✨
